Mini Bath Mat Pattern Mods

If you have a tiny bathroom like we do, then the totally amazing Rag Bath Mat pattern from Cocoknits.com might not be the best choice for you, because it's way too big.



I modded it down a bit so that it fits our bathroom. Here's the deal: Go download the original pattern from Cocoknits, then come back here and use these modifications to make it smaller.

Modifications to Rag Bath Mat by Cocoknits


Materials: Rag yarn from 1 queen-sized sheet following Cocoknits.com's instructions. Cut strips 1.5 inches wide. Size 19 knitting needles

CO as for the regular pattern.

Work rows 1 and 2 six times.

Work cable.

Work six rows plain.

Work cable.

Work six rows plain.

Work cable.

Work six rows plain.

Bind off.

Cut 8" strips of fabric and knot on for fringe per instructions in pattern.

Done!

We've shown Olek's works before (photographed by Katie's sister), and this knitted room by Kate Jenkins, but this installation at Tony's Gallery takes the cake. This makes me want to knit. Badly.
